Over the Moon

“Moon there! Moon moon there!” — that’s how my 22 month old son exclaims whenever he sees the moon and on the same note, it is exactly how I feel right this very moment.

I have been working on this site for a year and so now, but all I got are a few views until I wrote How to Make it Under One Paycheck. I am ecstatic and overwhelmed with the responses I am getting. How did I even deserve this? God revealed to me this morning as I was washing the dishes.

I have been writing about the same thought for a long time now and only few people cared. Then I realized the change and commitment I made for the year 2016 — that is to dwell on God’s word. I have been faithful in reading the Scripture lately which brought me to admitting that maybe all those entries in the past were just empty words.

I saw this beautiful post from Francis Kong this morning:

“If you want to impress people talk about your successes. That does not amount to much.

If you want to impact people talk about your failures. And that is when you contribute.”

True! People are so afraid to talk about their failures or where they’re really coming from. We are so afraid to be judged by our sins. Little do we know that our mistakes make us. Our sins are the reason why Jesus died on the cross, why God loves us.

Funny how God gave me you — my readers because ever since I committed my life to Jesus, I have been praying for him to use me. I have experienced being ridiculed by people whenever I share to them my faith. But today he didn’t just gave me one, two souls to touch but THOUSANDS.

Thank you.

I know you all keep on thanking me for inspiring you, some have even gained courage to take a leap of faith, but really, I am more than thankful because likewise, you gave me hope and an assurance that I am not alone.

So I challenge you to just do it.

“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” ‭‭Joshua‬ ‭1:9‬ ‭NIV‬‬
